Ahrash Bissell, Creative Commons/ccLearn
Ahrash Bissell is the Executive Director of ccLearn, the education division of Creative Commons, which focuses on removing the legal, technical, and cultural barriers to open education, digital scholarship, and the growth of the global commons. Prior to his current position, Ahrash was at Duke University, where he was Assistant Director of the Academic Resource Center and a Research Associate in Biology.

Ken Casey, NOAA
Ken Casey is the Acting Technical Director of the NOAA National Oceanographic Data Center, USA. He has also served as the Chair of the RAN Technical Advisory Group.

Anson Fatland, Paul G. Allen Family Foundation
Anson Fatland serves as the Senior Program Officer for Science and Technology. His specialties are venture capital, alternative energies, cleantech, and applications of biotechnology.

Linda Frueh, Internet Archive
Linda Frueh, DC Regional Director of Internet Archive, is an 18-year veteran of Silicon Valley technology companies with experience in strategic planning, partnership development, and general management. She joined the Archive in Washington with the mission to support partnerships with federal agencies and other DC-based organizations.

Edward Geary, NASA GLOBE
A geologist by training, Edward Geary combines science, education, and international collaboration in his role as director of NASA GLOBE, a worldwide science education program. He graduated from Sanford University, and received his doctorate at Cornell University.

Peter Jerram, Public Library of Science
Peter Jerram is the CEO of the Public Library of Science. His career has been intertwined with the Internet and publishing since the early 1990’s, when he was an independent consultant for Silicon Valley companies, including Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer.

Francis “Frank” Lindsay is the Program Officer for Advancing Collaborative Connections for Earth System Science in the Data Division.

Dawn Martin, SeaWeb
Dawn Martin, the President and Chair of the Board of SeaWeb, has expanded its programs to protect the world’s ocean by forging new alliances. She serves as a Principal for the COMPASS partnership and on the advisory committee of the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard. She is a founding member of the Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts and Islands.

Steve Miller, Google
Steve Miller is the Product Manager for Google Earth. He recently attended a conference at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress in Barcelona, Spain to introduce Google Ocean.

Tom Moritz, Internet Archive
Tom Moritz was formerly the Associate Director of Administration, and Chief of Knowledge Management for the Getty Research Institute, a program of the J. Paul Getty Trust. Now he is working to create digital government data centers.

David “Doc” Searls, the co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto, is a widely-read blogger and a columnist. A longtime advocate of open-source software, he is senior editor for Linux Journal.
