What does DO success look like?
What does DO success look like?
What are the metrics of success? What do you measure?
- Metrics of BEHAVIOR (Has DO motivated changes in behavior?): How do we measure (possibly through survey for users, which are taken at increments of time, such as when the person first signs up, then again 6 months later) how people’s behavior change as a result of involvement in DO. Find out if DO has enabled people to accomplish DOs protection and conservation goals? Has DO helped group X (who is a member of DO) achieve their ocean conservation goals?
- Metrics of OUTCOMES: effective protection and conservation efforts, broad range of people invested in protection and conservation, increased ocean literacy etc.
How long does success take?
Contingent on how long it take to involve people who are not currently interested in the ocean (i.e. to get to those people who are not already in the choir). This is itself is contingent on getting people involved in place-based fora.
